You have more than one potential winner and you need to determine who takes home the prize, what do you need?
- A tie-breaker question.

Writing a tie-breaker question is actually harder than you think! A good tie-breaker shouldn't be something that is just general knowledge, and ideally not an obvious number. How high something is, when did something open, or how many episodes of a TV show are all good examples of a tie-breaker.

Each week, as part of our 50 question pub quiz, we write two new tie-breakers just incase you need to bring peace back to your quiz. Below is a selection of some of them from previous quizzes which you are free to use in your pub quiz.

Page last updated: 6th January 2025.
We'll try to keep this page updated regularly but if you run out of tie-breakers and need us to update the page please let us know.
